Next generation entrepreneurs

Homeworking Mums and Dads are educating the next generation of entrepreneurs. And hiring good labour at a bargain price!
Recruiting the kids into your home business is a great way to give them an education in finance, sales and marketing. But you’ll want them to learn ‘on the job’ of course…here’s how you can get them involved:
- Motivation - explain that earnings from the business help to pay for holidays, clothes, treats etc. Your children will see that if the business does well, they’ll do pretty well too!
- Training - start small with jobs like delivering flyers, picking up the phone, printing labels etc and offer up more responsibility as your children get to know the business better.
- Incentives - pay the going rate or your staff may be tempted to look elsewhere!
- Experience – a home business can be a great way for your children to gain experience in something they want to pursue eg web design, PR or accounting. You and your business make for the perfect testing ground!
